  • The Galactose-Bone Broth Connection - Your Secret to Ageless Vitality After 40!

    November 12, 2024 3 min read

Are you feeling the effects of time on your body? Stiff joints, sagging skin, and low energy don't have to be your new normal. At DR GUS nutrition, we've uncovered a powerful combination that could really help how you age: galactose and bone broth.

The Hidden Hero in Your Kitchen

Galactose, a natural sugar found in dairy products, honey and some vegetables, is more than just a sweetener. It's a crucial building block for your body's glycoproteins (e.g. Chondroitin, Glucosamine) and proteoglycans (e.g. Hyaluronic Acid) - the unsung heroes of joint health, skin elasticity, and tissue repair. These moleclues actually connect the collagen in your fascia into the right (or wrong) structures.

The spheres represent hyaluronic acid, connected to the collagen fibrils. This is how our tissues are hydrated with water surrounding the hyaluronic acid.

But here's the exciting part: when paired with our nutrient-rich bone broths, galactose becomes a powerhouse for healthy aging.

    Why This Matters to You

If you're over 40, especially if you're a woman, your body's needs are changing. You might be noticing:

    • Creaky joints that protest during your morning yoga
    • Skin that's lost its youthful bounce
    • A metabolism that seems to have gone on vacation

These aren't just annoyances - they're signs that your body needs more support.

    The Science Behind the Magic

Recent studies have shown that galactose plays a vital role in:

    1. Enhancing cartilage formation and joint health
    2. Supporting skin elasticity and hydration
    3. Potentially delaying the onset of menopause

When combined with the collagen and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in our DR GUS Bone Broth, you're giving your body a powerful toolkit for repair and rejuvenation.

    Your Path to Ageless Vitality

Imagine waking up feeling energized, moving with ease, and seeing a more youthful reflection in the mirror. This isn't a fantasy - it's what proper lifestyle and nutrition habits can do for you.

Here's how to harness this power:

    1. Start your day with a cup of DR GUS Chocolate Collagen Shake, or Collagen Booster and raw milk in your morning coffee: SEE BELOW VIDEOS.
    2. Include galactose-rich foods in your diet (we love Greek yogurt with raw honey, raw cheeses, raw milk instead of pasteurised)
    3. Rather than regular lifting or training, find training that trains the myofascial system in the way your body is designed to work (we like Functional Patterns)
    4. Stay consistent - your body will thank you!

    Real Results from Real People

I've suffered with painful joints for a long time. I've been having bone broth first thing in the morning for about 3 months now. Not only has it helped my aches I have noticed that I am nowhere near as bloated as I used to be. I feel healthier and my skin is fantastic! It tastes great too. Winner all round here and a massive thumbs up!! - Lisa

NB. If you are dairy intolerant, raw dairy might be your friend as it contains the lactase enzyme which break lactose down into glucose and galactose. Dairy from jersey/guernsey cows might also help as it has A2 casein protein rather than A1 casein that’s in regular dairy.
